Swanson: ‘Devil broke loose’ in school funding bill
“What should have been a clean bill to fund poorer school districts turned into one that narrowly passed after divisive debate over policy issues thrown in at the last minute.
Now because of those last minute additions, the Kansas Legislature and Gov. Sam Brownback could face another constitutional crisis, Rep. Vern Swanson told those at Tuesday’s Lion’s Club meeting.”
